It's official. I can now pay all bills except rent electronically. Nice. I wonder if I'm the only one who uses LJ to track finances? (About the only things I post privately are my expenditures.)

Stayed in for the most part, today... caught little bits of rest off and on. I think I may've pushed myself too much yesterday. No back pain, but a twinge of sciatica. I'm going to call the doc tomorrow and ask if another epidural is needed or recommended at this point, or if I should wait and see if it gets worse first.

I'm so glad that Gore isn't running in 2004. Aside from the annoying election rhyme, I feel that he'd be a poor choice for a candidate. He had eight years as vice president, and failed miserably on his environmental position... That was my greatest disappointment...I had some high hopes for a few more positive moves. (At least with Bush, you *know* he's more dedicated to industrial interests from the beginning). The illegal fundraising side is another thing that's bound to have been tossed back out there, if he had decided to run again, and I'm sure his detractors would have ridden that one all the way through.

At least he *stopped* taking tobacco money. I don't mind about the "Creating the Internet, look for the Union Label, Love Canal" fibs, either... mainly because folks caught him, and called him on them.

As the candidates surface, the skeleton closet will become more popular again, I think. I do like how it doesn't choose sides, but shows the vile sides of all sorts of folks. It's nicely documented if you want to follow up on any of the dirt.

I sure as heck would like Bush out of office, too... hopefully the Dems will find a candidate that's at least the lesser of two evils, because I really don't see the Reps using anyone else as a candidate. I don't even need to bother going into why I'm not Pro-bush.

I'd like for more candidates to just be up front about scandalous pasts. Grover Cleveland, for example.

Great space coaster, while waiting at the bus stop.... tsk.

I slept deeply last night, but I did wake up once or twice. It got pretty chilly... dropped to about 46F. (May not seem cold to some, but when I hit the sack, it was 10 degrees warmer.) Dreams of snuggling with my beloved made it feel warmer than it was. I woke up briefly at about four this morning with Newt under the covers with me. When I first fell asleep, He was snoozing stretched out along my left leg. It looks like it'll be much the same tonight. He didn't pitty-pat me awake... so he must've been very comfy. We played twist-tie fetch for about 30 minutes this morning and maybe another fifteen of "wrestle the hand". He's relaxing on the South ledge now, soaking up some sunbeams, and watching the world outside. I'm fresh from a hot shower and shave, and I'm feeling pretty good, considering that it's a Monday, and there's no new Strongbad yet. Ah well... off to work with me. Got to pay the bills!

Drawn waiting at the bus stop...I just put whatever came out of my head. Initially it was going to be a step-by-step image that built itself...I end up drawing me. how’s that for meta?

Just sheared off all of the people in the who have deleted themselves ... Count went down from 856 to 844 members as a result. I'm really happy that when folks ask a question, many others pop in to help out. It's been the most productive, easy to manage community possible. There's generally a few posts a day, sometimes several. I hope I didn't jinx myself there.

It turns out that there are 18 people who read my journal and are members of the hut. (including the hut itself... I guess I should really call it 17.) I'm quite surprised that there aren't more.

I have to swing by UPS sometime this week (probably tomorrow), before work. Apparently they need my signature to deliver something, and I wasn't home three times. Sakes... Don't most folks work during the week? Hard to sign for a delivery at that point.
